About the Author
I work as software developer with a strong focus on web technologies at mediatis AG in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
I currently live in Frankfurt. Even though I’m half-american, and my english is fairly decent, I’m not a native english speaker, so my writing may seem somewhat clumsy from time to time. Sorry about that.
In what seems like a prior life, I was an active musician (doing song writing, vocals, guitar, keyboards, and drums, while not being very good at any of those). And it was music that brought me to software development: my first serious programming projects were all music-related software on BeOS (see the bottom of the projects page), but that was before I discovered my passion for web-based applications. Anyway, today I'm merely an enthusiastic music fan, and I help promote a band of friends of mine: Pea Sized—Check them out if you don't object to the occasional departure from the middle of the road in music.
